Matrix Factorization Recommendation System Using ALS and SGD Optimization

Developed a hybrid recommendation model that concentrates on analyzing and differentiating two complex algorithms in use. Synthesized a hybrid matrix factorization optimized algorithm that is used to recommend items to the user by inculcating Alternating Least Squares (ALS) in the initial stage and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) in the advanced stage. This approach can be easily implemented in the real world as the problem of cold start can be easily reduced. Compared to the traditional technique, this technique shows an increase in accuracy.

Efficient Genre based Collaborative Movie Reccomendation System

Directly led a three-person project team in developing a personalized movie recommendation system. This project is based on an item-based collaborative filtering algorithm in which user preference based on the movie genre is added to the movie rating in order to compute the similarity aimed at user preference. This technique can reduce the amount of data and improve the quality of recommendations. The experimental results indicate that the approach outperforms the traditional user-user and item-item collaborative filtering methods.
Delivered a paper on the above-mentioned project at the third international conference, ICEECCOT-2018, which was held at the GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology in Mysore.

Developed a synthetic website monitoring tool that is used for calculating the performance grade and availability of a website. This monitoring tool helps users to check their website status and also guides the clients in improvising their page performance. In addition, the key role of the job includes modernizing systems by investigating and analyzing new IT developments and contemporary business practices.

Trebuchet

Trebuchet is a disruptive startup focused on bridging the gap between customer and online shopping using Augmented Reality (AR) and Machine Learning (ML). Currently a working on a prototype of an AR application that uses semantic segmentation to capture the orientation of user's foot. This system has now been successfully ported into android and a kiosk has been developed using Qualcomm DragonBoard. The startup has won the prestigious Idea Day Grant.

Reliability Assurance Engine

Refined a synthetic reliability assurance engine for Veegam Software Company, Hyderabad. This tool checks the performance of various sites. The tool is currently being used by major telecommunication companies all over India.

Virtual Reality Walking Simulation

Created a skeletal model of a humanoid in WebXR from scratch. Developed a framework for easy animation of objects in 3D space in WebXR. Animated the humanoid to walk around the room.

ARware

Application to virtually try on shoes in real time, combining AR and ML. The dataset was created manually using various foot semantic labelled images to train a semantic segmentation model for detection and understanding of foot orientation. The 3D model of the shoe was then augmented using ARKit. Real time augmentation was achieved by optimising the pipeline including dropping frames based on analysing change in camera feed.

Developed an ecosystem that aims to help people with visual challenges navigate new areas which they may not have experienced before. It helps them find things and locations they need. It also helps anyone people find personal items they've misplaced.

Placement Coordinator

Organized placement activities, job fairs, internship drives and coordinated with companies. Actively involved in expanding industrial participation in placements.

Make A Difference Organiser

Served as an Academic Support Co-ordinator for the globally recognized non-profit organization "Make a Difference." In my first year of volunteering, I helped orphaned children in grades 6 through 10 by teaching Maths and English. We have effectively brought several orphans under our organization to give them educational support.

Program Co-ordinator

Organised a number of camps to help the kids enhance their interpersonal skills. I oversaw the "Papa Home" shelter, which housed 71 children and 20 academic support volunteers. This position provided me with the life-changing skills I required to make a significant difference in the world around me.
